RIT Croatia Digital Marketing Plan
While studying abroad at RIT Croatia, I worked on a semester-long project focused on improving the university’s digital marketing efforts. The goal was to take a deep look at their current strategy and come up with practical ideas to help them better connect with students in the Croatian market.
As a global student, this was definitely a challenge. I didn’t know much about the local higher ed system or which types of marketing work here. But I saw it as a chance to learn and grow. I started by auditing all of RIT Croatia’s social media: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and YouTube, paying close attention to what was working and what wasn’t.
From that, I put together a set of recommendations, including:
More consistent content scheduling
Using trends that are popular in Croatia (especially on TikTok and Instagram)
Messaging that speaks to local students
A more consistent tone and style across platforms
New campaign ideas to boost engagement and brand awareness
This project pushed me out of my comfort zone and helped me get better at adapting my marketing skills to a new audience. It was a great experience, and I’m proud of how much I learned along the way.
