Fall 2024 Delta Sigma Pi Recruitment

As Senior Vice President of Delta Sigma Pi’s Epsilon Lambda chapter, I planned and led our Fall 2024 recruitment, which became our most successful yet, with over 30 applicants and 12 new members.

I spent the summer organizing every detail—from event logistics and coordination to promotion—and designed all the Inside Out 2-themed visuals myself, including flyers and social media posts, to create a unified, engaging look.

Recruitment week was intense: I balanced my classes, club responsibilities, and personal life while managing the planning, coordination, promotion, and execution of each event. The next week was even harder with application reviews, 22 interviews, and even more alternate responsibilities. It required strong time management, quick problem-solving, and clear communication.

These were our five main events where potential members could get to know the fraternity, connect with brothers, and have fun while learning what we’re all about:

  • Meet the Brothers — A relaxed intro to the chapter and our values.

  • No Sew Blankets — A service project that brought everyone together while giving back.

  • Embezzlement Scheme — A fun, team-based mystery game that challenged problem-solving skills.

  • Cultural Food Night — A celebration of the diverse backgrounds and cultures within our brotherhood.

  • Building Bridges — A creative team challenge that built communication and collaboration.

Leading this recruitment pushed me to grow in leadership, delegation, and resilience. It was a lot of work, but seeing everything come together and welcoming 12 new brothers made it incredibly rewarding.
